This time I came to Chaoyang, Beijing for business, I specifically chose to stay at Guizhou Mansion Beijing. After staying for three days, I was completely surrounded by this unique hotel hidden on the third ring road, blending the authentic Guizhou style and the convenience of old Beijing into my stay experience.
The location of the hotel is very familiar to people who come to travel on the North Third Ring Road. It's less than 300 meters' walk from Line 5 and Hepingxiqiao Station, so you don't have to wander around in the narrow alleys of the old city with your luggage. The surrounding North Third Ring Road network is particularly smooth, providing direct access to core business districts such as Zhongguancun, Sanlitun, and Guomao by just a few subway stops, completely avoiding the most congested sections of Beijing during morning and evening rush hours. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the Yuan Dynasty City Wall Ruins Park. After dinner in the evening, take a walk along the river, enjoy the evening breeze of the capital city, and watch the elders stroll and play chess. In an instant, you can feel the leisurely atmosphere of old Beijing. There is an old Beijing style braised pork restaurant that has been running for decades along the street downstairs. You don't have to travel a long distance, just take a turn downstairs and you can enjoy authentic sesame sauce dipped in hand cut lamb meat, which is filled with fireworks.
As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by a strong Guizhou style. The walls were adorned with Miao silver decorations and photographic works of Huangguoshu Waterfall, without the redundant design of fancy flowers. The warm toned lighting matched the neat marble floor, making my first impression particularly comfortable. The efficiency of checking in at the front desk is very high. I heard that I have traveled to Guizhou before and even took the initiative to chat with me about the niche villages in Qiandongnan. I even explained clearly which authentic Guizhou cuisine is served in the hotel restaurant. The room type I live in is spacious and has no sense of being cramped. The decoration of the room combines modern comfort with ethnic details of Guizhou. The pillows are embroidered with small Miao embroidery patterns, quietly creating a unique atmosphere of Guizhou. The soft mattress provides a comfortable sleeping experience. I spent most of the day strolling around the Forbidden City, and at night, I relaxed after lying down for a while. The soundproofing in the room was well done, and the sound of traffic on the North Third Ring Road was almost completely isolated. For two consecutive nights, I slept soundly until I woke up naturally.
What surprised me the most was the detailed configuration of the hotel. I drove here by tram, and there are charging stations in the underground parking lot. After parking, you can go upstairs without having to look for charging stations everywhere. The right to free parking also saves a lot of parking fees on the North Third Ring Road. The layout of the desk sockets in the room is reasonable, and it is also convenient to handle some temporary work. The hot water comes out quickly and steadily, and after taking a shower, the whole person feels refreshed. When ordering takeout, the robot will directly deliver the food to the door of the room, without having to run downstairs by itself, which is too friendly for people who are tired of shopping. The hotel has its own Guizhou style tea room. After finishing supper with friends at night, you can sit down and soak in a pot of evenly mixed tea to chat and relieve the fatigue of the whole day.
The experience of breakfast also exceeded expectations. In addition to the regular Dim sum of Beijing flavor, you can also eat authentic Guizhou Huaxi beef powder. The sour soup with smooth Rice noodles will make you dream back to Guiyang directly. After staying here for three days, I completely understand why many people in Beijing who miss the taste of Guizhou choose this place as their first destination. It doesn't have overly exaggerated decoration, but it puts all the convenience, comfort, and unique Guizhou characteristics needed for travel into the details, without being distracted by trivial matters, and can enjoy the slow time in Beijing steadily.
